Abstract

Background. Observance of the labor rights of citizens, especially providing guarantees for the timely payment of wages to them, is certainly the goal of both the prosecutor’s offices of Russia and the state labor inspectorates. Taking into account the social importance of the issue of labor remuneration, prosecutors, along with state labor inspectorates, conduct inspections of employers and punish violators. Effective interaction of these bodies allows improving the state of legality in the sphere of labor legal relations.
Materials and methods. The author analyzed the norms of the current legislation applied by the prosecutor’s offices and the state labor inspectorate during the interaction.
Results. As a result of the analysis, the problems of law enforcement in the sphere under consideration and the absence of a legal mechanism for involving heads of state labor inspectorates in administrative responsibility for violation of labor legislation must be established.
Conclusions. It is necessary to establish, at the legislative level, a measure of responsibility and the procedure for involving heads of State labor inspectorates who committed administrative violations in the sphere of labor relations.
